Treatment is a minimally invasive procedure for your skin for repair and rejuvenation. It works by inducing collagen production, using a pen like device that has a multitude of micro-needles on its head. This creates pinpoint punctures or micro-channels through the epidermis to the dermis of the skin at set depths, to trigger natural healing processes and generate new collagen and elastin which help firm and smooth and repair and restore your skin.

This minimally invasive technique allows the penetration of targeted active ingredients in sterile solutions in the dermis where it can achieve maximum impact and this solution also acts as a glide for the tiny needles so they are much more comfortable than one might expect. It is an effective way to treat acne scars, facial lines and wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentation and even stretch marks. Treatment is safe for darker skin tones because the microscopic punctures from the device are minor and do not cut into the dermis.

Options for targeted solutions:
c.prof 222 body firming solution with organic silicon, DMAE, sodium pyruvate and hydroxyproline for a firming and tightening effect.
c.prof 220 draining solution with melilot, rutin, Ginkgo Biloba and aescine for a toning, antioxidant, and firming effect.
c.prof 221 lipolytic solution with artichoke extract, L-Carnitine, organic silicon and theophylline to improve the appearance of the silhouette and orange peel skin.
c.prof 211 photoaging solution containing hyaluronic acid, idebenone, taurine and vitamin C, for a restorative, moisturising, and antioxidant effect.
Fillmed NCTF® 135HA treatment consists of a poly-revitalising solution made up of hyaluronic acid + 55 nourishing ingredients: vitamins, amino acids, coenzymes, nucleic acids, minerals, and antioxidants. An expert cocktail that helps combat the losses and deficiencies associated with ageing.

Consultation

Before you come for your appointment, I will speak to you on the phone or over a video call to go through the process and I will send you a health questionnaire and information about the treatment by email which you will need to fill and sign and submit so that they return to me. After a thorough medical history is checked, I will explain again what happens during the treatment now that we are together. Once we are both satisfied that you fully understand the treatment and aftercare, I will ensure that you have signed a consent form and I will take photos for your medical notes.

What to Expect

I have put these general pre-treatment instructions together to keep in mind before treatments to get the best possible outcome:
• Do not consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment (alcohol will increase the risk of bleeding).
• Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications for a period of 3-5 days before treatment. Medications and supplements such as aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, garlic, feverfew, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen and other NSAIDS have a blood thinning effect and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.
• Please don’t use retinols and other active medical grade treatments for 5 days either side of treatments with Cat.
• Make sure you mention all your current medical and aesthetic treatments and any recent illnesses even if they are under control.
• Schedule your appointment at least 1 week prior to a special event which you may be attending such as a wedding or vacation particularly as temporary bruising and/or swelling may occur and need that time to settle.
• Reschedule your appointment if you have a cold sore, blemish, or rash, on your face.
• Be sure to have a good breakfast, including food and drink, before your procedure. This will decrease the chances of light-headedness during your treatment.

Am I Suitable

People should avoid this treatment if they have active acne, especially inflammatory lesions, active herpes, or other localised infection in the treatment area, including warts, moderate-to-severe chronic skin diseases such as eczema or psoriasis or a history of herpes simplex infections or diabetes. It is also best to avoid in the presence of raised moles in area to be treated or if patients have extreme keloidal tendencies.

Common Side Effects

Some redness may also be present and in some cases, patients may experience slight bruising that can last for 5-7 days and temporary swelling for 2-4 days
Treatment is generally considered a safe and effective treatment – however the main risk associated is skin irritation following the procedure. Swelling is typical up to 48 hours after the procedure. Flaking or peeling after treatment is also relatively common. Other side effects, like bumps, breakouts, and dry skin, are also common after treatment — but not everyone will experience them.
In the short term, lines can appear worse for the first few days after a treatment due to trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL). You can reassure your patients that any wrinkle that develops quickly is not due to loss of structural integrity, and it is temporary.

Aftercare & Treatment FAQ's

Treat the skin gently by washing it with a gentle cleanser, cool water, and using only your hands to pat dry no earlier than 4 hours after treatment.

1. Avoid the sun after treatment: Stay out of the sun and it goes without saying to avoid the sunbed or the solarium. As a rule, you should reach for AlumierMD Clear Shield or Sheer Hydration whenever you are exposed to the sun or wherever the light is bright enough to cast a shadow, but especially for the first 2 weeks after treatment, to protect your healing skin from sun damage during the recovery process. Always use a mechanical/mineral sun screen SPF40 such as AlumierMD Clear Shield or Sheer Hydration. Do not apply chemical sunscreen the same day as treatment. Only use approved physical defence sunscreen.
