Injectable skin care and mesotherapy: Wow Fusion
WHAT IS THIS TREATMENT AND WHAT CAN IT DO?
Wow Fusion is an advanced needling device designed to perfectly cater to multiple skincare concerns as a delivery method for medical mesotherapy.
The device contains a reservoir which will contain the personalised skin cocktail that is injected through the 20 titanium 24K gold plated needles in the head of the device for optimum absorption and efficacy that are so thin (0.13mm in diameter) that they cause minimal pain.

You get the benefits of micro-needling with the addition of mesotherapy. The micro-needling helps stimulate collagen and elastin for a more youthful-looking skin and the Wow fusion serums hydrate, brighten, stimulate, and improve the texture and tone of the skin with the added benefit of additional toxin helping decongest and tighten the skin giving the Wow factor. These mixed active ingredients can contain a wide range of nutrients and antioxidants to provide hydration and nourishment to the skin. In all treatments, hyaluronic acid is added for natural skin plumping and hydration. Other ingredients include Vitamin C for brightening, peptides to boost collagen production, antioxidants for skin renewal and of course the magic anti-wrinkle.

CONSULTATION
Before you come for your appointment, I will speak to you on the phone or over a video call to go through the process and I will send you a health questionnaire and information about the treatment by email which you will need to fill, sign, and submit so that they return to me. After a thorough medical history is checked, I will explain again what happens during the treatment now that we are together. Once we are both satisfied that you fully understand the treatment and aftercare, I will ensure that you have signed a consent form and I will take photos for your medical notes. Then when you are ready, and comfortable on the treatment bed, I will commence treatment. Once your consent has been completed and your medical history checked, I will ask you to make yourself comfortable by lying down on the treatment bed; I will clean your skin and I will discuss ways to be comfortable. When you are ready, I will commence the treatment as gently and slowly as necessary.
HOW IT WORKS?
Once you know what to expect, you can give me a sense of the pace you would like to me to take and we can take short breaks when you wish, until your confidence builds.
The feeling of both Microneedling and nano-soft needling is more scratchy than painful, there is a bright light above you and I’m close to you so I can pay full attention to your skin. Once the injection part of the treatment is over, I will apply a colling balm and an eye mask to help your skin to settle. I will give you a mirror so that you can see and take photos of you just before you leave for your medical notes which I will store securely and in confidence. I will make an appointment for your either for your next treatment or for a review appointment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS & COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
The contraindications to treatment are as follows: active infection near the site of injection, a known allergy/hypersensitivity to the material or to the lidocaine mixed in the syringe of the filler. The WOW facial includes very low-level acids which are essential for rejuvenation. These tingle slightly when applied however it is not designed to hurt. The WOW fusion involves the use of tiny needles and whilst most people tolerate this some people depending on skin type may find this slightly uncomfortable while the fusion stage is being carried out. As we like to say no ‘pain no gain’. This treatment WILL transform your skin.
AFTERCARE
Treat the skin gently by washing it with a gentle cleanser, cool water, and using only your hands to pat dry no earlier than 4 hours after treatment.
1. Avoid the sun after treatment: Stay out of the sun and it goes without saying to avoid the sunbed or the solarium.
As a rule, you should reach for AlumierMD Clear Shield or Sheer Hydration whenever you are exposed to the sun or wherever the light is bright enough to cast a shadow, but especially for the first 2 weeks after treatment, to protect your healing skin from sun damage during the recovery process. Always use a mechanical/mineral sun screen SPF40 such as AlumierMD Clear Shield or Sheer Hydration. Do not apply chemical sunscreen the same day as treatment. Only use approved physical defence sunscreen.
2. Avoid active topical skin care products after treatment: Don’t use any products that have active ingredients such as retinol or alpha acids since these can irritate your skin even more. Only use products that your treatment practitioner has recommended.
3. Do not use makeup after treatment: It is vital that you let your skin breathe for 24 hours after the treatment. The skin channels are open and applying makeup can penetrate the pores causing further irritation. You should wait 24 to 48 hours before using makeup, leaving enough time for the skin to recover.
4. Applying face masks after treatment: A Fillmed HA Youth Mask or Skin Perfusion Eye Recover Mask wont contain unnecessary active ingredients will be mild enough to cool and hydrate and help with any inflammation.
5. Avoid intensive exercise that will make you sweat: Sweating will cause your pores to reopen, meaning that any bacteria will be able to enter the skin punctures. This can lead to a either a reaction or infection.
This means you should skip the gym, and you also have a good excuse to avoid intensive house chores in the first 3 – 4 days!
6. Avoid long hot baths and showers after treatment: Don’t take a bath for 1 day, and don’t go for long baths and showers during the first week of your recovery. Avoid spas and saunas.
7. Do not swim after treatment: Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools or the ocean.
8. Avoid tattooing after treatment: This includes cosmetic tattooing such as Microblading.
9. Avoid further clinical treatments after treatment: These include but are not limited to microdermabrasion, laser, IPL, chemical peels, and muscle stimulation.
10. Avoid spray tan (or self-tanning) after treatment: Do not apply spray tanning or fake tanning creams for 2 – 3 weeks after the treatment.
